Week 10

Saturday, March 5th was cloudy and 60s with rain most of the day, quite hard at times. Dropped Elaine off at Edgewater Mall so she could wander and have some alone time for a few hours. I edited pictures and updated the website. We went to Applebee’s for supper. There was a strong south wind most of the day so there were “sand drifts” along the beach road like the snow drifts y’all probably have back home. Some were 8 to 10 inches deep and extended across the whole right lane. There was severe weather north of us (thunderstorms and tornados) but by God’s grace it missed us.

Sunday, March 6th was sunny and low 60s. Elaine watched the race and I started waxing the coach. Ended up doing more talking than waxing. The new coach next to us turned out to be Fred Kennedy, one of the national vice presidents for FMCA so we talked for quite awhile. For those of you who know Charlie Schrenkel, Fred said he is doing well and recovering his strength. After the race we went to the Hard Rock Casino for the free slot tournament but did not play any other machines. We went to Bop’s again for ice cream.

Monday, March 7th was sunny and low 60s but started out COLD!! It was in the high 40s; I even put on a flannel shirt. I waxed some more of the coach and finished the street side. All that is left is the rear end cap. We went to the Beau Rivage Casino and lost a little. It is a very ritzy casino like the ones on the Las Vegas strip. We went to the Golden Corral for supper

Tuesday, March 8th was cloudy and 60s but warmed up with some sun around midday. We went to the Biloxi Fat Tuesday (actually Shrove Tuesday) Mardi Gras parade. It was two hours long. Really nice and we got a lot more beads. Tuesday evening it really rained hard with lots of thunder and lightning. It rained all night (or so Elaine told me as I slept through it).
