The view from up here is pretty good.
Maybe I should ride up here rather than under my recliner.
Not!

Yesterday my female human left the door open and I ran out. But before I could do anything, my male human grabbed me and took me back in.
He must have felt guilty because he let me out today in a place called Idaho. It was nice and warm and sunny so I rolled on my back to scratch it like I always do. It felt good.
Until my male human yelled something about getting dirty and took me back to the coach. Then they both brushed me to get the dirt off. Bummer.

Hmmm . . . this is interesting. It is not as good as half and half, but it is good.
By the way, thanks Jan and Kay; I hear both of you are collecting those little white cups for me.

I am in Tok, AK again. It is finally warm and sunny out.
It is gravel and not concrete but it is warm and it scratches my back real good.
My male human gave me a little spoonful of something new he called ice cream tonight.
WOW! Better than those white cups of half and half.

My humans took me outside today to see Gizzie and Coz. They are OK and it was good to see them again but after all, they are still just dogs.
The grass felt funny on my paws after all that carpet in the coach.
Giz and Coz mean well, but what is with this sniffing thing they do. I finally had enough. I hissed once and took a swipe at one of them and my male human grabbed me and brought me back inside the coach.
I like it better inside anyway.

If you think I’m looking up for some dumb picture, you’re nuts.
My friend Jan brought over more of those white cups of half and half.
Yummy!

My humans went out last night and brought back more of those white cups. But how am I supposed to open them without opposable thumbs?
After the picture they did open one so it was a good night.
Thanks Jan, they tell me you got a couple of them for me. If they ever let me out of this coach I’ll come over and thank you in person.

This is so boring just sitting around here.
Lets get this trip going.
Either that or break out more of those neat white cups of half and half.

Sometimes I let my human hold me, he seems to like it. Then I dig my claws into his leg when I jump down. That he does not like as much.
He does scratch my head and chin pretty good though. I just don’t like it when he gets my back leg twitching.

We are in Canada they tell me. Big deal. All those little cups of half and half are gone and I’m back on skim milk.
My humans left for the day which is great because I have the coach to myself. They must have felt guilty because they brought me back a bag of catnip. I ignored it of course just to bug them.
Maybe I’ll play with it in the

Hey Boo, how come you don’t send me any emails?

Picture this. There I am sound asleep in my favorite travel spot under the recliner, nice and warm and dreaming about catnip and that good half and half. All of a sudden I am rudely awakened and carried outside. Then my human sticks me in some snow and mumbles something about the Continental Divide. I HATE SNOW!

Anyway, keep the e-mails coming.
Thank you Gizmo, Darae, Carrie, Ariel, Lilly May and Delilah. Also Cis, Pam and Jerry (I think those last three are humans but that is OK).
I’ll reply to you as soon as I can get my paws on the keyboard.
Meow,
Suzie

Boy, my humans almost blew it. There was a gray cat wandering around the campground tonight and they were talking about taking him with us. They finally didn’t because he didn’t have a vet’s certificate like I do. I’m the only cat this trip needs.

Well, my humans finally let me get out of the coach again, this time in Minnesota almost at the South Dakota border. It felt good to walk in the grass and the sunshine.
But what felt even better was to roll around on my back on the sidewalk. It felt so good to scratch my back on that warm concrete.
|
|
 |
 |
|
Then some dumb car went speeding by and I got scared and ran under a pine tree. My human tried to stop me but I was too fast for him. It was nice and cool and shady under there.
But my human crawled under the tree and dragged me out and carried me back to the coach. I tried to meow “animal abuse” but he was too quick.

Oh well, there is still some of that good half and half left.

I don’t know what all the fuss was about. I had a nice nap under my recliner today. Then my humans went into another casino and when they came back they had a handful of those little white containers filled with that good tasting half and half. Sure beats skim milk! But no matter how much I meowed they would only give me two. Oh well, there are more in the refrigerator for tomorrow.

This is where I should ride. I’d make a great copilot. But they give me some nonsense about a seat belt so I crawl back under the recliner.
It’s not too bad though. They feed me well and last night Kay gave me some chicken at supper. She’s nice, I like her.

Well, we are in Erie, PA. My humans have been spending a lot of time in the casino so I’ve had the coach to myself. I sure hope they don’t lose all my catnip money.
I had a bit of a start today. I was up on the bed and “thought I taw a puddy tat”. Finally figured out it was a mirror over the head of the bed and it was me I was looking at. I had never seen me before. Wow, I am one good looking cat.
Anyway, I see my page has been moved up the list but Giz and Coz moved up too and are still ahead of me. Keep those emails coming folks, I might overtake them yet.

Well, Gizzie and Coz now have their own web page and that’s cool. They are OK and we get along good. I’m sorry guys. Thanks for the use of your coach.

But why is their web page before mine? I was here first. If you agree that my web page should come before theirs, please e-mail me at suzie@onward2alaska.com or go to the Contact Us page and click on my name next to my picture. If enough of you request it, maybe it will happen. Thank you.

We went to a rally in Bath a week ago. It was OK I guess. We had to have some work done on the coach so I had to spend a few hours in our friends coach. They have two dogs! The dogs weren’t there fortunately but their scent sure was! Ugh! Was I ever glad to get back to my own coach.
Then they took me to the vet. What an indignity. I was poked and prodded and weighed. Then I had to get two shots!
|
|
 |
 |
|
The vet gave me a “Certificate of Transport” saying I was healthy enough to travel. That was a waste of time. She should have given my two humans a “Certificate of Transport” saying they were healthy enough to travel. They need it more than I do.
Next week I go to the Spa to get groomed. It’s about time. I hope she does a good job because it has to last me four months. I’ll let you know how it goes.
|
 |
 |
|
In the meantime, they have finally given me my own e-mail address. You can go to the contact page and click the link next to my picture to send me an e-mail. I don’t know when I’ll be able to reply as every time I try to walk on the keyboard they chase me away. Meow, Suzie

The nerve of these people, taking this long to give me my own page. Who do they think runs this household anyway. Now I have to work on them to give me better billing than next to last page.
Anyway, you will get a cat’s eye view of this trip on this page when we finally get started.
|
|
|

|
First, I have to go to the vet and get some stupid shots. Then they are taking me to the groomer just before we leave. Not sure how I am going to make it four months between groomings.
I will miss my perch on the piano though.
