Nashville Tour

These are pictures from our tour of Nashville. They were shot through the window of a moving bus so their quality is not as good.

This is the stadium where the Tennessee Titans play.

The new AT&T building. The gray section of the top was supposed to resemble an older telephone handset. At the last minute the architect added the twin spires which makes it look like Batman’s cowl.

This statue is in the center of a traffic circle in music row. It features nine “anatomically correct” nudes dancing. Our tour guide said there was a lot of controversy over the plans for the statue. Tennessee is in the middle of the Bible belt, and he said Nashville is the “buckle” on the belt. There are about 1200 churches in the area and all of them and most of the locals were against it but the city went ahead anyway. The official name of it is “Musica” but the locals refer to it as “Butt Circle”.
