Mardi Gras Parade 2

These are pictures from Biloxi’s Mardi Gras Parade March 8th, 2011.

This is one of the groups that performed before the parade.

Many floats were pulled by Army vehicles.

This float had an air compressor on the back of it to power two compressed air guns. They used them to shoot beads to folks who were standing behind the folks up front.

Elaine had to have a proper Mardi Gras hat.

Elaine sent me to the McDonalds across the street for fries. It was packed. There was a long line of people placing orders at the drive through, or should I say “walk through”. When I placed my order they gave me number 50. Shortly after that I heard them call for order number 19. But it only took about 10 to 15 minutes.

These guys hung baskets for the folks on the floats to throw beads into.

We had to wear these beads home. They were tangled and we could not get them off.
