Every house had to be searched for bodies. They were marked with the date, who searched and the results. The one on the left was searched by the 2nd Florida National Guard on September 27th and no bodies were found. The one on the right was searched by the Texas Fort Worth National Guard on September 14th, again no bodies were found.

This is a FEMA trailer; your federal tax dollars at work.

Here $130,000 of our tax money is being used to raise this house about five feet off the ground. The house is worth about $60,000 and the flood waters here were about 13 feet deep. More of our federal tax dollars at work.

The owners of this house had started to rebuild this house. They had put on a new roof until someone stole the columns supporting the roof over the porch.

These are some of the new houses being built with funding from Brad Pitt and Oprah.

This is a memorial to the damage from Katrina. The red framing represents the height of the ceiling in a standard one story home. The blue columns represent the depth of the flood waters here, 13 feet.
