Well we got to meet some of our family, (some of mom's family).  Aunt Barb and Dee and also cousin Tom and his daughter Jamison.  Nice family.

Got all gussied up again, but it really felt good to get washed and groomed.  Been awhile since we had that.

We were sorry to see Suzie leave us and go off on her own.  Will not be the same without her looking over to see what we are doing.  Maybe we will see her again at one of the campouts. We are on our way home.  Looking forward to seeing Honey and Spice and Tim.

Giz:  I asked you to move over, you didn't so I sat on you.

GC 1113

Giz:  See, I knew if I sat on him he would move over and give me room.

GC 1112

Cos:  Will he ever get off me?

Mom and Dad are happy we are back in the USA.

At least we have some sun now.

It seems like it has rained every day of the trip.

We don't like going out in the rain all the time.

Seems nice to have it dry.

Hey do you think we should tell mom and dad what we see out there?  They make an awful lot of noise for birds, and they are big and black.  Must be crows or ravens.

Thanks Sinatra and Brandy for sending e-mails.  We really appreciate them. Saw some sea otters the other day.  They were really neat.

Met Katie a Golden Retriever and Miss Molly.  Miss Molly is a little Yorkie; she is really cute.  She isn't too sure of both of us at the same time.

Been having fun going to all these different places.  Boy will we have stories to tell when we get home.

We really saw a black bear the other day.  Mom let us ride on her lap and all of a sudden she was yelling bear, bear and there it was on the side of the road.  Guess we scared it because it ran back in the woods before she could get a picture.  At least we got to see it too.

Been meeting more dogs in the group.  A couple of poodles, a couple of schnauzers, a pound dog, some mutts and some cats.  Interesting.  Boy it seems more like winter here than at home.  Good thing we have fur coats built in.

They took us to some place called 4 Paws for grooming today.  Boy were we disgusted.  They cut and cleaned and brushed until we are all gussied up.  At least we smell pretty good.

Heard from our sister cats at home.  Guess we aren't the only ones seeing wild animals.  Seems that we have been having bears visit our neighborhood.  So far we haven't seen any but maybe when we get to Alaska we will.

How you doing Boo?  Bet you wish you were with us on this trip.  You are pretty nice for a cat.  Our mom is a witch so the two of you would get along real good.  She goes out on her broom whenever there is a full moon.  Shhh...  don't tell her we told you.

Thanks Boo for sending us an e-mail and giving us some insight on Suzie.  We really like Suzie, but don't tell her, we are putting up a good front.  We have 2 sister cats at home that we like very much.  We are having fun sniffing out all the new smells.  The only thing we don't want to do is meet up with a coyote.

We are still waiting for some info from home.  Guess our sister cats, Honey & Spice don't really care if we are gone.

Hi Willie, glad you are staying out of the way of those carpenters.  Keep hiding, but be careful coming out at 4 A.M. and wanting to play.  Your mom and dad won't like it.

Thanks Linda 1 for sending us an e-mail, we really enjoy getting them.

We think we heard mom and dad talking about getting us groomed again. Ugh! What a waste of time.

July 4, 2008

We are hearing from a lot of different people now.  Keep those e-mails coming.  We seem to be staying in one place for a few days.  Sure seems good, of course when we are on the move Mom & Dad stay with us.

Giz and Coz

Do I really have to get up?  I am so comfortable here in Mom & Dad's bed.

I'm on alert, making sure nothing gets by us.

June 26, 2008

We finally sat still for a couple of days and got a chance to get outdoors and run around.  Last night we heard an awful ruckus across the road from the campground.  Seems like there are sled dogs over there and they get hungry and put up a real lot of noise for their food.  Wonder if we did that if we would get fed sooner.  Guess we shouldn't push it.

Sinatra, are you keeping the backyard clear of varmints?  Hope so seeing as how we left you in charge.  Has that big old black cat come back?  Need to keep that one far away.

Brandy, are you still sleeping on you mom's blanket?  Better let her use it now and then or she will get mad at you.  But we don't blame you, it is a nice warm blankie.

Honey & Spice you better not be chewing up all our toys, we want some left when we get home.

Willie, hope you are hiding real good.  Those contractors might nail your tail to some board.

Back on the road again tomorrow.  Keep those e-mails coming.  Giz & Cos

June 25, 2008

We left a place called Cody (sounds like an animal to us) today.  Last night there was a grey cat that wanted to make friends with us but mom and dad wouldn't let it get near us.  Wonder why.  Silly old Giz put his nose right up to it.  The cat was real friendly.  We were really looking it over last night out the window.

This morning the grey cat was back and wanted to go with us.   It laid right on our step.

Today we went thru some very high things someone called Yellowstone or Yellowsnow (never eat yellow snow) and saw some strange sites.  First they let us out and put us on top of some dirty old snow, thought we left that back home.  Then mom yelled at us to look out the window.   There was this great big brown thing [buffalo ed.] right beside the motorhome.  We barked at it but it kept right on going.  If the window had been open we could have jumped right on its back.

Thanks to all who have sent e-mails, we really enjoy getting them.  Looks like we have to go to bed now mom and dad are heading in that direction.

June 24, 2008

The other day while we were traveling on the road, we stopped for lunch (and a potty break for us) and we heard the funniest noise coming from the truck parked next to us.  There was squealing and snorting and oinking and the smell was not so good either.  The told us they were PIGS!!

Got an e-mail from Uncle Willie, he lives in California.  We think we have caught up with Suzie on the number of e-mails, but everyone, keep those e-mails coming.

GC Baraboo

A windblown Giz and Coz in Baraboo, WI

Well our mom and dad haven't been able to get onto the internet until tonight, so here goes.

We spent some time in Elkhart, Indiana.  Mom and Elaine went off looking for some old material to make quilts (maybe we might get one).  Saw a white rat running around the campground.  Sure glad it didn't get into the motor home. Suzie might have liked it.  We then spent the whole day riding but it seemed like we weren't going anywhere.  Move a couple of feet and then sit still.  Kept repeating this for a long time.

Hey Suzie, we got some more e-mails from Brandy, Sinatra and Tillie.  We also got one from our Aunt Carol and Uncle Hoss, they warned us to stay away from the bears.

Spent a couple of nights in a parking lot of a Casino.  Wasn't too bad, the name of the town was Baraboo, sounds like some dumb bear name.  We are now in a campground (next to a casino) in Prior Lake, MN.  We are still waiting to hear from our sister's (cats) at home.  We miss them.

G&C

Boy it rained almost all night long, good thing we are in a place called Shipshewana maybe that means we are on a ship.  Really got our feet wet this morning, puddles all over the place.

Hey, Suzie, how come you keep getting e-mails and we don't get anything.  We need equal time.  What about those girls back home like Brandy and Sinatra, they could be sending us e-mails but they don't.  We would like to hear from our buddies back home too, just like Suzie does.  Get those e-mails coming to gizandcoz@onward2alaska.com or go to the Contact Us page and click on the link next to our picture.

June 9, 2008

Well we went and got all cleaned up for the upcoming trip.  They cut and washed and shaved and plucked until they said we were ready to go. After all the stuff that has been carried out to the motorhome we aren't sure there will be room for us.  We have been sitting where we could watch both the front and back door to make sure they didn't leave us behind.

They say it is Sunday, whatever that means, and they started up that motohome again.  Looks like this time they are really leaving for this great Alaska trip.  Boy is it hot!!!  At least we have cool air in the motorhome so we don't have to get over heated.  Met up with Susie and her people in some casino parking lot and then traveled together for over 200 miles.  Alas we got thru Cleveland and then somehow we got lost looking for a camp ground.  We finally found one and they let us out to do our business.  Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Giz and Cos

Gizzie

Hi, I’m Gizzie

And I’m Cozzie

Cozzie

That’s Giz and Coz for short. We are going to Alaska too.

And we are happy to have our own page. After all, Suzie isn’t the only one going to Alaska.

We like Suzie but sometimes she has such an attitude. We offered to let Suzie stay in our motorhome so that she would not be out in the cold rainy weather. We even stayed away so that she would feel more comfortable.

Now she comes around and says bad things about us and hurts our feelings. We saw Suzie's web page and feel we should have equal time and space. We are cute and cuddly too.

We would cozy up to Suzie if she would let us, but alas she would rather tease and pick on us and then turn her nose up when we let her stay in our home.  Shame on you Suzie.

Anyway, we are going to be traveling together for four months so let’s be friends.
