This was Southaven, MS, just five miles south of Memphis. We did not expect snow like this. We saw traces of snow along the roads until 60 miles south of Memphis!
Yours truly hard at work building the website.
Some of you have asked for pictures of our cats. Here are Suzy and Abigail. Look for more pictures scattered throughout some forthcoming pages.
This is Suzy, the queen of the coach. I call her Tubboh (not sure how to spell it but like Tubby).
Abigail likes to look out the passenger window when we are parked.
Is Suzy really reading over Elaine’s shoulder?
Man, that is one pooped cat.
The blue hump under the blanket behind them is Elaine. No, I do not sleep on the couch.
Elvis sold over one BILLION records worldwide, more than any other singer ever. And he never performed outside of the US and Canada (except for the troops). There were several rooms of his gold and platinum records and other awards but this will give you an idea.
All pictures inside Graceland and the other exhibits had to be taken without a flash so we apologize for the quality. These are just a few of his outfits that were on display. Some of his outfits (jumpsuits, cape and belt) weighed SIXTY pounds
There were about 50 of his cars and other vehicles on display in the museum. Here are a few.
I had a 1956 MGA like this one but mine was white.
This is a Stutz Blackhawk; I had never heard of one before. I had heard of a Stutz Bearcat and Elvis had one of them also as well as a nice Ferrari.
This was the Lisa Marie, a Convair 880 Jet he bought from Delta Airlines for $250,000. It had a conference/dining room, lounge, galley, bedroom and two bathrooms.
This is a Lockheed JetStar aircraft he purchased for $899,702.60 while waiting for the Lisa Marie to be delivered.
